Zero Carbon Associates is currently looking for aRenewable Gas Origination Manager with strong experience in ​​European Renewable Gas Origination XXXX and Renewable Energy Directive II and subsequent implementation plans/regulation at member state level for a role with a multinational oil and gas company headquartered in London, England.

You will be working in a rapidly evolving business area, often in challenging regulatory and legal environments. You will be a part of a team of capable and motivated individuals and, as such, will benefit from the ability to work and form relationships with a diverse set of individuals. The position calls for a self-motivated, entrepreneurial and responsible individual with the ability to perform well under pressure.

Renewable Gas Origination Manager requirements:

  • A proven track record, with experience, in a European Renewable Gas Origination or Business Development role.
  • Strong and existing relationships with relevant decision makers for both supply and demand counterparts within the Renewable Gas market.
  • Knowledge of Renewable Energy Directive II and subsequent implementation plans/regulation at member state level.
  • Knowledge of specific Road Transport schemes and products across Europe (e.g. Bioquoten, HBE, RTFC), and carbon schemes (e.g. EUETS).
  • An ability to clearly and efficiently engage with internal and external counterparts to progress and close simple and complex deals, meet challenging timelines and targets, grow the portfolio and business footprint, drive top-line margin growth and realise strong returns on resources.
  • An ability to understand and idea-generate strategies to monetise and risk manage trading exposures arising from negotiated terms (both for linear and structured transactions).
  • Excellent communication, relationship building and presentation skills.
  • A willingness and desire to be agile, adaptive and resourceful in light of a fast-paced, constantly changing environment that rapidly presents new, often highly impactful, opportunities and risks.
  • An objective and inquisitive mindset to take full advantage of the rich development opportunities that this role and market area offers.
  • Fluency in the English language.
